earthquake in Malaysia??

OMG!

just a few minutes ago, near to 2am, my friend sms me saying that she felt her bed was shaking crazily.

i was like what!! i was getting ready to run out from my house. bukan apa.. nak rush out to town to take pictures la..

I didn't feel anything from my place near Gurney Drive also.

Then i posted in Facebook and Twitter to clarify and to see if anyone felt the shake.

Within seconds, more and more updates on Facebook about the shake.

Not only Penang, other places like Petaling Jaya also felt the shake.

earth quake ah??

HELL NO!

Malaysia is out of Lingkaran Gunung Berapi. I don't know what you call it in English.

We can only feel the tremor or side effect from the earth quake.

Somewhere else must be hit by earth quake, i guess.

I quickly sms my journalist friend, he also said the shake you people felt is not from earth quake in Malaysia.

I know we are safe here. So please take this time, just a few seconds, to pray that everyone everywhere is safe.

To all, don't spread news that are not confirmed by the authorities. you can caused unnecessary fear and ok..

No earth quake in Malaysia la. it's just a slight shake, small tremor.

I wonder did anyone run away from their house.

ok u people go back to sleep la. =p

* thanks to Trinie who sms-ed me at 1.58am. if not i still blur-blur watching TV at that time. hehe. she straight away sms me after the shake. and surprisingly i was the few first persons to post it on FB n twitter to clarify about the news. i was so fast. she was even faster to break the news to me. thank you. *

Namewee, you BABI ah??

Photo from Malaysiakini.

i just got a news from http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/143878

the news is about Perkasa members calling Namewee BABI and torched his photos which has been edited with his nose replaced with babi's nose.

Babi is pork la. Char Siu.

the Malays (the racist one la) all this while love to call us Chinese as babi. hahah! funny la. you call us Cina Babi just because we eat babi? or because you can't eat babi because it is haram is your religion?

funny. so how should we response? you Melayu Lembu kah because you eat lembu and the Hindus can't and some of the CHinese also can't take lembu?

lembu is beef by the way.

so i wana ask, Namewee, you Babi ah? i don't think you are lo cuz you walk with your back straight and not like babi. Babi can be eaten but you can't.

if you think are not, it's okla. just keep quiet lo. let them do what they want la. human wih brain won't call another human being as an animal ma right. eh maybe they don't have human brain. hahaha.

aih wasted la. if i knew that Perkasa is so perkasa tonite by calling Namewee BABI and torch his pics, i am for SURE go down to KL! maybe i can get free Char Seow Bak there. eh i tau u people import Babi to Malaysia, gov also get $ ma.. suty import and tax and everything. not meh??

u thought i duno ah??

anyway im impressed with Perkasa la.

waaaa. they are so creative and good in Photoshop. they edit the picture nicely, i like the babi's nose. that Perkasa members also got so much money to print big posters of Namewee hor. then they also have to waste their matches and lighter to torch his photos.

so i'll just wait for the news whether police and FRU will dispersed them or not la. if got, how long they took to decide that Perkasa is holding an illegal assembly.

and i would also love to see whether anyone from the group will be charged la. maybe for illegal assembly, causing public disorder, harming the public, trying to burn down something ke..

haha..

well.. we'll see la what the police will do. alaa.. you know, i know, everyone knows that our police very fair one ma right. just that sometimes a bit abusive and double standard lo.

okla i say no more la. dangerous la.

Countdown to 4-Hour darkness

Let’s countdown.

It’s about time. Kampar will be blackout very soon. The lights are getting dimmer. Notice by TNB says that the electricity will be cut off by 12am for 4-hour maintenance works.

The affected areas are Bandar Baru, Taman Kampar Jaya, Taman Kampar Perdana, Taman Bandar Selatan 3, Taman Bandar Baru Utama, Taman Siswa, Taman Mahsuri, Taman Kolej and Taman Perak. But locals say Kampar Old Town also will be in dark.

People are you ready to be in total darkness at 12am?? We'll stay under the moonlight. Luckily the moon is quite round and bright tonight.

What's ur plan huh? Go to mamak? Gather at basketball court? Pillow talk? Snack party? BBQ? Watch movie? Stay under the moon? Go lepak at Westlake? Play hide and seek? Look for ghosts? Or sleep?

Just a reminder. Lock your door if you are going out. Becareful if you are driving, riding or cycling. Ingatlah orang yang tersayang.

My camera gears r ready! =p im bringing candles, torchlite, and a small fan.

Ok im ready.

2010 FIFA World Cup, Group G Brazil vs North Korea

One of the things that no one should missed during FIFA World Cup is to be at mamak stall or restaurant to watch live match.

It’s ok if you don’t know the teams or the players. It’s ok if you are not a football fan.

Just the atmosphere can make you jump high up to the sky or bang your hands on the table.

When a team score, you will either hear people cheer or boo. And you yourself will automatically be part of the crowd.

That’s what makes the scene alive.

Im not a football fan but I like Brazil because of the ‘zzz’ in the the Brazil’s name and because Brazil is a good team.

For the first time since 2010 FIFA World Cup started, I watched it tonight and I watched it live.

I was there with my friends, sitting at the back. as usual I bring my wife along. I mean my camera. N im lucky because my speedlite is functioning tonight.

The match was between Brazil and North Korea. The game started at 2.30am Malaysian time.

Mamak restaurants are packed here in Kampar. Students especially are the majority crowd and they flooded the restaurants.

These are the photos of the match I took at Maha Maju Restaurant.

Brazil won the game with the score of 2-1.

1.50am Quiet and calm, before the match.

1.51am Empty without spectators.

2.45am Full house, 15minutes after the match started.

2.46am Majority are students from UTAR

Us. Me with banana with my two friends. Hungry, banana is good.

3.49am Frustrated supporter of Brazil garu-ing his head after they failed to score.

3.57am This is the moment when Brazil scored for the second time. Geram nia this waiter block my view!

4.14am This is the most happening moment when North Korea score at the very last minute of the game.

4.14am The crowd cheered for about 30seconds for North Korea.

4.14am Korea performed well especially their defence. They gave Brazil a very hard time in the match.

4.19am What a scene. Everyone cabut immediately after the referee blowed the whistle to end the game.

4.20am After the game, tables and chairs are empty again.

4.20am It's time for the waiters to clean up all the cups and plates.

4.22am Long queue. Traffic jam as everyone going back.

Protest Against Israel

Kuala Lumpur, 3June - After afternoon prayers tomorrow, there will be a couple of demonstrations against Israel's actions against ships carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.

PAS will be leaving from Kg Baru mosque to the Istana while Umno begins from the National Mosque but no clear indication yet where they are headed. Perkasa will be joining both although we don't know whether PAS will be comfortable marching alongside Perkasa.

Bernama reported that these two groups of protestors are expected to march to the United States' embassy.

The police have warned the public not to join any protests as they are not given permit.

Hafiz Hashim the saviour to semi-final

BREAKING NEWS!

History is repeated again when Malaysian is tied 2-2 with the opponent tonight.

The quarter-final match between Malaysia and Denmark finally ends in the favour of Malaysia after 5 hours and 10 minutes.

This time, Hafiz Hashim got into rhythm and rescued Malaysia by crashing down Joachim Persson in straight set 21-12, 21-10.

Hafiz became the saviour of Malaysia after Malaysia lost the third and fourth match through Wong Choon Hann and the new combination of Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/ Hoon Thien How

Malaysian players showed more fighting spirit and aggressiveness in their game tonight compared to the match between Japan last night.

Malaysia will face China in the semi-final this Friday May 14.

Malaysia lost to Japan, qualified to quarter-finals

BREAKING NEWS! Malaysia lose to Japan 2-3 in the just concluded Group B match.

Malaysia’s quest in the Thomas Cup seems to be a bit shaky when they lost to the underdog team from Japan.

Malaysia gained the first 2 points through Datuk Lee Chong Wei and doubles Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong.

Chong Wei scores 21-12, 21-13 while Kien Keat/Boon Heong scores 21-13/21-17.

Then Malaysia crashed down, tamed by the Japanese for the next 3 games.

Wong Choon Hann who expected to get a winning point to Malaysia in the group match lost 17-21, 18-21. His game was slow and he made a lot of careless mistakes.

Hope and pressure were high on the fourth game when Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari in action. But they too were kicked off by a more aggressive pair from Japanese with the score 15-21, 12-21.

Hafiz Hashim, the third single player who played in the fifth match failed to won the match point for Malaysia.

Despite having the advantage of the homeground support, height, experience and skills, the world ranking 22 lose to world ranking 214 player by 10-21, 21-14, 18-21.

It is indeed a sad, dissappointing and humiliating day for Malaysia's badminton team. Too many mistakes made in the last 3 games.

Japan not supposed to be a threat to Malaysia based on the paper and analysis by the coaches.

Anyway the good news is Malaysia still qualified to quarter-finals.

Just hope that Malaysia can make a miracle in the quarter-finals and hopefully the fresh draw won’t put Malaysia and China in the same group.
